Husband Troubles

Don’t worry, I’m not having trouble with the DH, it’s more like DH is having troubles this week.  It started sunday when he had to go to Seattle early in the morning….well, I guess that was more annoying for me since I had to drive him to the airport at 7AM.  Then on monday his grandfather died.  Now, I should preface this by saying that DH’s grandfather had married a woman in 2003 and had pretty much decided that she is the only thing that mattered to him anymore.  Pretty sad.  DH has also been a little uptight because he interviewed for a new position over a month ago and has not heard back about it and we’re getting new windows monday.  It’s not that he’s uptight about the windows, it’s the money that we’ve spent to get the windows.  So that’s what’s been goin’ on with DH.  As for me, well, I’ve just been trying to keep him happy by telling him that everything will be fine and (as my Dad always says) this too shall pass.  On wednesday we had S’rB:
Shelly-was working on toe-up Jaywalker socks
Christine-was starting a fuzzy hat
Karen joined us from Rochester and was waaaaay at the other end of the table (I didn’t see what she was working on)
Anne-was knitting her first toe-up sock
Roxanne-was doing some math for a pair of baby socks and matching hat (she has an entry on it too)
Meleah-was trying to figure out what to do with her turquoise yarn
Sue-was FLYING on her Pinwheel Sweater, she was working on the border already!
Kelle-was nearly finished with her DD’s kilt
As for me, I was finishing the baby sock I started the week before….and hadn’t worked on since.  So technically the orange baby socks were not a FO until wednesday, but I’m sure you’ll forgive me.  In the same vein, I got a wild hair up my behind and decided to make KT another pair of socks.  I’d been eyeing the Nordic Knee-Highs from Socks (Vogue Knitting on the Go) and so I picked up some Baby Ull from Yarnzilla in Fuchsia & Spring Green.  I finished the first one in 2 days and I’m 1/2 way through the second one and they look AWESOME!  Not to toot my own horn here, but they do look really good!  It’s a stranded pattern so I’ve been double-fisting the yarn and it has turned out much better than the last time I tried that technique.  I’d show you a picture but the camera is indisposed (it’s behind all the stuff that’s normally by the windows).  And in other me news, I found a new podcast.  It’s called Lime & Violet it’s pretty funny mainly because they have a slight yarn obsession particularly sock yarn.  Strangely, I can identify.  Have a great day!
