Poor Opal

I have been trying to work on this great Opal yarn that I bought over a year ago at Coldwater‘s Super Bowl Sale.  First I tried to do the Wyvern pattern again, but the varigation swallowed up the dragonscale pattern.  I frogged back to the beginning of the toe and tried again.  This time I worked the Charade pattern and it looked so much better.  However I spilled cocoa.  My newest issue of Interweave was unsalvagable (bummer), but I’m not sure what to do with the sock.  I’m only part-way up the foot and both the sock and the yarn got chocolate-ed.  I’m thinking that I should just rip out the sock, turn the ball into a hank and wash it.  The problem with that solution is that it’s going to be a lot of work.  I haven’t been able to blog in over a week, when am I going to have time to re-skein yarn?  Blah…….
